JLove Calderon is an author, activist and educator. She is known for her honest and open voice regarding White-privilege in America.  She is the author of: “That White Girl,” “We Got Issues! A Young Woman's Guide to a Bold, Courageous and Empowered Life,” and “Conscious Women Rock the Page! Using Hip-Hop Fiction to Incite Social Change” (co-authored with Black Artemis, E-Fierce, and Marcella Runell Hall).  Jlove is also a certified life-coach, and frequently travels around the country lecturing.  She resides in Brooklyn, NY. Nana Camille Yarbrough is an award-winning performance artist, author, and cultural activist. SPIN Magazine: calls her a “hip-hop foremother.” As a legendary and highly awarded dancer, soul singer, actress, educator, television host, lecturer, and author of the classic book Cornrows, Yarbrough infuses history and culture in everything she does.  She continues to lecture and perform internationally. Mo Beasley is an award winning performance poet, educator, author, and public speaker, Beasley has over 20 years experience in sexuality, race, manhood, and arts advocacy work. He authored the poem No Good Nigg@ Bluez with was later adapted into a play by the same title. With Jerome "J-Square" Jonesand author SekouWrites, he co-produced and co-authored the play, which premiered to favorable reviews at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2003. Kevin Powell is widely considered one of America’s most important voices in these early years of the 21st century. Kevin Powell is an activist, author, public speaker, pop culture aficionado and, most recently, a 2008 Democratic candidate for Congress in Brooklyn, New York.
